CT Hone, Inc. horizontally honed this 4130 steel sleeve, measuring 147″ in length, with an O.D. of 3.500″. The finished I.D. was 2.750″ with .025″/.030″ of stock removed, and had a material microfinish of 63. Utilizing our long/horizontal honing equipment, as well as Sunnen tooling, we easily met the required tolerances of ± .001″. We relied on the customer supplied operation sheet and 2D CAD drawing to ensure the sleeve met customer specifications.
